Cybersecurity is more important than ever, and with the increasing complexity of attacks, their countermeasures also get more complex. As a result - especially with the rise of AI - being able to judge whether and how Security is achieved can be quite cumbersome and complicated. In my research, I'm trying to find new and innovative ways to make Security more explainable and transparent, not only with Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) but also with "classical" non-AI approaches, e.g., XSec.

Spam and phishing emails are not only annoying but also increasingly dangerous, posing significant risks to individuals and organizations alike. With the rapid advancement of AI and LMs, these threats are evolving, making them harder to detect and mitigate. In my research, I’m investigating how the landscape of spam and phishing is shifting within this new technological context, and I’m working to improve the robustness and adaptability of existing detection mechanisms to stay ahead of emerging threats.
